Things have gone from bad to worse for Katrina. She's left Earth to live on Tallia with her fiance. When she finally realizes what a loser he is, she makes a plan to sneak off and return to Earth. While she's waiting for the ship that will take her back through the wormhole to Earth, the ship is attacked, the wormhole is sealed and she's captured by a Kleaxian named Vonn who is determined to punish her for the fact that her fiance was responsible for the death of Vonn's mate. This is not fun punishment and Author Sue Lyndon does a good job of giving the feeling of the stark circumstances of Katrina's life with Vonn and his brutality without going into too much detail.
When Vonn is put to death for his crimes against Katrina, she thinks she's finally able to relax and feel safe. That is, until Tavarr, Vonn's brother, shows up to claim her under a Kleaxian law that provides for unmarried brothers to claim the mate of their deceased brothers.
Understandably, Katrina is terrified that Tavarr will be just like his brother. Fortunately, he is not. His entire family is ashamed of Vonn's behavior and Tavarr promises "No more hurt". Can Katrina believe him?
This really is a love story where the characters grow and learn from each other.
It is full of sex, love and bdsm. It is written well and has a great HEA! Loved it and hope there is another one in the series.
I enjoyed reading this book 📚, it has a great storyline. Can't wait for more from this author. I voluntarily leave this review.
Adolescent male fantasy
Good fun reading with a few nice twists, but way too short. It is kind of funny that stories of submissive and their Doms have a universal theme that all can enjoy.
A heartwarming story about love with an alien. The author did an awesome job with describing the feelings and lives of main characters . The story was written with excellent quality and romantic relationships I highly recommend it to people wanting an excellent job of portraying the story very well.
This is the second time I have read Tavarr's Mate. I read it again because I really enjoyed the story. Katrina is taken by a horrible Kleaxin. He abuses her. She had not a good relationship with a human before that but this was beyond the pale. She meets Tavarr and is so frightened after all the abuse she endured. Fortunately, she finds him a much better person. If you enjoy alien romances that are a little dark, you will enjoy this book.
I truly enjoyed this story. It's the first I've read from this author, but I'll be looking for more in this series!
